Ford Unveils Seven European Models and Electric Transit City, Eyes 25% Software EBIT

Ford will roll out seven new European models over three years under Ready-Set-Ford, including five multi-energy vehicles and two commercial vans such as the all-electric Transit City. Ford Pro subscriptions rose 30% in Q1 to 879,000, as it targets 25% of EBIT from software and services.

1. Europe Strategy and Multi-Energy Vehicles

Ford detailed a three-year Europe strategy under the Ready-Set-Ford brand platform, planning seven new models including five multi-energy vehicles that blend off-road DNA with rally heritage. Campaigns launching this month emphasize Build, Thrill and Adventure themes to support passenger and commercial demand.

2. Ford Pro Expansion and Software Services

Ford Pro aims to evolve from vehicle maker into productivity partner by expanding connected services and software offerings. Global paid subscriptions rose 30% in Q1 to 879,000 with gross margins above 50%, supporting a target of 25% of Ford Pro EBIT from software and services.

3. Ranger Super Duty Launch Details

The new Ranger Super Duty extends Europe’s best-selling pickup into heavy-duty segments, offering an 8-tonne combined mass, 4.5-tonne towing capacity and near 2-tonne payload, plus factory-fit heavy-duty suspension and underbody protection. It addresses needs of military, emergency services and industrial applications at scale.

4. Transit City Electric Van Introduction

Transit City is Ford’s first electric van tailored for urban fleets, available later this year in three variants including a chassis cab for conversions. Designed for cost-conscious operators in electric-only zones, it offers a single high-spec configuration to simplify purchasing and lower total cost of ownership.
