Foresight Secures $10.5M Japan Licensing Deal for ScaleCam Software Serial Production

Foresight signed a Final Development and Commercialization Agreement with a Japanese in-vehicle AI device manufacturer and Cornes for its ScaleCam™ stereoscopic 3D perception software, targeting serial production in early 2027. The volume-based licensing model forecasts up to $10.5 million in revenues from 400,000 units between 2027 and 2030.

1. Agreement Details

Foresight signed a Final Development and Commercialization Agreement with a Japanese in-vehicle AI device manufacturer and Cornes Technologies for integration of its ScaleCam™ stereoscopic 3D perception software into the manufacturer’s flagship in-vehicle AI system.

2. Production and Revenue Outlook

The agreement includes a design freeze and production transfer phase, targeting serial production in early 2027 and forecasting up to $10.5 million in licensing revenues from roughly 400,000 units between 2027 and 2030 under a volume-based recurring model.

3. Strategic Growth and OEM Expansion

The integrated system offers ADAS, navigation, conversational AI, entertainment, and emergency response capabilities in retrofit solutions aimed at fleet and consumer markets in Japan, with plans to pursue global OEM and Tier 1 integrations for higher production run rates.

4. Proposed Strategic Investment

Foresight entered a non-binding term sheet with VisionWave Holdings for a strategic investment whereby VisionWave may acquire 45–51% of Foresight in exchange for approximately $17.5 million in common stock, combining stereo vision, thermal imaging, RF sensing and AI video intelligence technologies.
