Forestar CEO Anthony W. Oxley will become executive chairman on Nov. 1, 2026. Donald J. Tomnitz will retire on Oct. 31 and remain a consultant for two years.

Forestar said Executive Chairman Donald J. Tomnitz will retire effective Oct. 31, 2026. Anthony W. Oxley, president and CEO since January 2024, will become executive chairman the following day. Tomnitz, who has been executive chairman since October 2017, will remain a consultant for two years.
