DIS•Former FCC officials oppose early ABC license review
July 28 (Reuters) - A group of former Federal Communications Commission members on Tuesday urged the Trump administration agency to abandon a nearly unprecedented early review of the licenses for Disney's eight corporate-owned ABC stations.
A filing signed by former FCC commissioners and staff including Mark Fowler, a Republican who served as chairman of the FCC from 1981 to 1987, said the early review was "an assault on free speech disguised as regulatory process."
