Former Mossad chief David Barnea joins Ondas Defense as global president, chairman

Former Mossad Director David Barnea has been named global president and chairman of Ondas Defense.

Ondas said Barnea served as Mossad director from 2021 to 2026, leading a technology-focused overhaul during a period of active regional conflict.

The role is aimed at global expansion, platform integration, strategic development, defense customer relationships and deployments across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

His mandate also includes supporting acquisition strategy, assessing capability gaps and prioritizing integration across AI software, communications, autonomous air and ground systems.

The appointment follows more than $70 million of new orders over four weeks across border security, counter-UAS, ISR and autonomous precision-strike technologies.
