Fortinet unveiled FortiGate 3500G and 400G firewalls powered by NP7 and SP5 ASICs, offering up to 595Gbps throughput and 179 million concurrent sessions. Both models add native shadow AI detection, hardware-enforced integrity and integrate FortiOS 8.0 with continuous AI-driven threat intelligence.
1. FortiGate 3500G and 400G Unveiled
Fortinet introduced the FortiGate 3500G delivering 595 Gbps firewall throughput, 163 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput and 179 million concurrent sessions, alongside the FortiGate 400G offering 164 Gbps firewall throughput, 55 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput and 28 million sessions for enterprise edge deployment.
2. ASIC-Accelerated AI Security Fabric
Both models leverage Fortinet’s custom NP7 and SP5 processors and run FortiOS 8.0, integrating FortiGuard AI-powered services. They feature native shadow AI detection for unsanctioned AI use, hardware-enforced integrity protections and continuous threat intelligence across hybrid infrastructures.
