Fortum signs deal for Google to buy up to 50% of Loviisa nuclear output through 2050
Google agrees to long-term purchase of Loviisa output
Fortum signed a long-term nuclear power purchase agreement with Google covering up to 50% of output from its Loviisa plant through 2050.
The deal underpins a planned life-extension program, including modernizations and uprates, tied to about EUR 1 billion of investment.
About 20% of required modernization projects have investment decisions; the remaining work totals roughly EUR 700 million.
