Founder Group Secures US$8.6M Solar EPC Contract, Total US$17.7M Backlog
Founder Group secured a RM34 million (US$8.6 million) EPC contract to build, test, and commission a 9.5 MW solar facility under Malaysia’s LSS5 programme. This award brings the Company’s total LSS5 contract value to RM70 million (US$17.7 million), with commercial operations targeted by May 1 2027.
1. New LSS5 EPC Contract
Founder Group Limited has signed a RM34 million (US$8.6 million) EPC contract under Malaysia’s LSS5 programme to design, construct, test and commission a 9.5 MW solar photovoltaic facility. The scope covers end-to-end EPCC services with commercial operation slated by May 1, 2027.
2. Expanded LSS5 Backlog
The latest award raises the total LSS5 contract pipeline to RM70 million (US$17.7 million), reflecting accelerating demand for utility-scale solar in Malaysia. This backlog underpins near-term revenue visibility and strengthens the company’s project pipeline.
3. Future Growth Prospects
Looking ahead, the Malaysian government is expected to launch LSS6, potentially adding 2 GW of solar capacity with battery storage requirements. Founder Group aims to leverage its LSS5 momentum to pursue LSS6 and Corporate Renewable Energy Sourcing Schemes, targeting sustained recurring revenue growth.
