Fractal Analytics IPO Debuts at ₹876, Market Cap Falls to ₹148.1B
Fractal Analytics debuted its IPO at ₹876 per share, below the ₹900 issue price, and closed 7% lower at ₹873.70, valuing the company at ₹148.1 billion (~$1.6 billion). This marks a steep drop from its $2.4 billion private valuation in July 2025, when TPG infused $360 million.
1. Muted IPO Debut and Market Reaction
Fractal Analytics opened trading at ₹876 per share against a ₹900 issue price and slid further to close at ₹873.70, reflecting a 7% drop. This placed its market capitalization at approximately ₹148.1 billion (~$1.6 billion), below expectations for India’s first pure-play AI IPO.
2. Private-Market Valuation Versus Public Pricing
In July 2025, Fractal raised $170 million at a $2.4 billion valuation, and earlier in January 2022 secured $360 million from TPG at a $1 billion valuation. The public listing valuation of ~$1.6 billion marks a significant discount to its peak private-market price.
3. Financial Performance and Use of IPO Proceeds
For the year ended March 2025, Fractal reported a 26% revenue increase to ₹27.65 billion ($305 million) and swung to a ₹2.21 billion ($24 million) net profit from a prior loss. IPO proceeds will reduce U.S. subsidiary debt, fund R&D and sales under Fractal Alpha, expand Indian offices and support acquisitions.
