The average U.S. 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell for a third consecutive week to 7.18% as of November 5, 2026, down from 7.24% the previous week and above 6.22% a year earlier. The 15-year fixed rate averaged 6.57%, compared with 6.6% the prior week and 5.5% a year earlier.
