Freddie Mac reports higher second-quarter net income
Freddie Mac posted Q2 2026 net income of $3.8 billion, up 61% year over year, driven by a $0.9 billion benefit for credit losses.
Net revenues rose 1% from a year earlier to $6.0 billion; non-interest results swung to a $19 million loss from $0.6 billion income.
Net worth climbed to $78 billion at June 30, 2026; total mortgage portfolio was $3.7 trillion.
