FreeCast Debuts FreeCast Cities Beta to Cover All 210 U.S. TV Markets
CAST•FreeCast has introduced FreeCast Cities, a beta streaming platform offering local broadcast content across all 210 U.S. DMAs alongside hundreds of free FAST channels, ad-supported movies and on-demand entertainment. The platform features SmartGuide universal discovery, MediaPay subscription billing and plans phased market launches in groups of one to three DMAs.

FreeCast Cities combines local broadcast stations, hundreds of free FAST channels, ad-supported movies, on-demand entertainment and optional premium subscriptions into a single app with universal login for each DMA.
2. Phased Market Rollout
The service is in beta and will deploy to all 210 U.S. DMAs in groups of one to three markets as commercial agreements and operational milestones are met, with each launch announced individually.
3. Technology Infrastructure
Built on FreeCast’s PaaS, the platform leverages Broadcast Enabled Streaming Technology (BEST) for live local feeds, SmartGuide for unified discovery and MediaPay for integrated subscription management.
4. Partnerships and Future Offers
FreeCast Cities secures local broadcaster participation and plans to include DIRECTV residential internet streaming offers, enabling consumers to add premium live TV and sports without a satellite dish.
