Fresenius buys remaining 45% of mAbxience for up to EUR 750 million
Fresenius acquired the remaining 45% of mAbxience for up to EUR 750 million, taking full ownership. The deal is expected to immediately add to core earnings per share, while 2026 guidance remains unchanged.
1. Deal completed
Fresenius signed and completed the acquisition on Sept. 30, 2026, taking full ownership of the biosimilars company within Fresenius Kabi Biopharma. Consideration is up to EUR 750 million in cash, including a EUR 50 million contingent payment tied to site approvals; no regulatory approvals were required.
2. Funding and outlook
Fresenius funded the transaction with existing liquidity and operating cash flow, and expects net debt to EBITDA to rise by about 20 basis points. The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to group core earnings per share from completion, and 2026 guidance is unchanged.
