Fresh Del Monte Produce has closed its acquisition of Del Monte Foods’ vegetable, tomato and refrigerated fruit business assets plus JOYBA beverage brand and Del Monte® brand IP for approximately $285 million under a U.S. bankruptcy court–supervised sale. 1. Acquisition Completed
Fresh Del Monte Produce finalized its purchase of Del Monte Foods’ vegetable, tomato and refrigerated fruit business assets, along with the JOYBA beverage brand and Del Monte® brand intellectual property, for $285 million via a U.S. Bankruptcy Court–approved Section 363 sale on March 19, 2026.
2. Assets and Brand Rights
The transaction transfers Del Monte® and S&W® packaged vegetable lines, Del Monte®, Contadina® and Take Root Organics® tomato brands, Del Monte® refrigerated fruit products, the JOYBA® beverage label, and full ownership of the Del Monte® trademark and related IP, subject to existing licensing arrangements.
