FTI Consulting has appointed cybersecurity expert Jason Smolanoff as Senior Managing Director in its Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment. Smolanoff, who led Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice and served as an FBI Supervisory Special Agent, will expand FTI’s cyber risk management, incident response and digital forensics services.

Smolanoff brings more than 25 years of information-security experience, having led Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice and served as Supervisory Special Agent for the FBI. In his new role, he will expand FTI’s cyber-risk management capabilities—covering program assessments, incident response, complex investigations and managed services—across 32 countries and territories.
