FTI Consulting Q2 profit misses on higher direct costs
FCN•Guidance updated for 2026
FTI Consulting reaffirmed its 2026 revenue guidance of $3.94 billion to $4.10 billion.
The company updated its 2026 EPS guidance to $8.70 to $9.30, down from $8.90 to $9.60, and introduced 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $9.10 to $9.70.
Cost pressures weighed on profit
Higher direct costs, SG&A expenses, and interest expense weighed on net income.
Revenue gains in Corporate Finance were driven by higher realized bill rates for transactions, transformation and turnaround and restructuring services, increased demand for transformation services, and higher success fees. Higher demand for M&A-related “second request” services boosted Technology segment revenue.
Quarterly results miss estimates
FTI Consulting said second-quarter revenue rose 5.3% year over year, slightly missing analyst expectations. Adjusted EPS for the quarter also missed estimates.
The company reported Q2 revenue of $993.50 million versus consensus of $997.64 million from three analysts. Adjusted EPS was $2.16, compared with an expected $2.26.
