Galactic Gold completes 2,400-km VTEM survey to define four drill targets
EQX•Galactic Gold completed a 2,400-km airborne VTEM survey over its 100%-owned Hardrock West property to pinpoint basement conductors and magnetic features for 2026 drill targeting. The geophysical data will integrate with 600+ digitized drill holes, 200 channel samples and 2,000 surface grabs to refine four high-priority diamond-drill targets.
1. Completion of Airborne VTEM Survey
Galactic Gold has completed a 2,400-kilometre airborne VTEM geophysical survey over its 100%-owned Hardrock West property in northwestern Ontario, generating high-resolution total magnetic intensity and electromagnetic datasets. This survey aims to identify basement conductors, magnetic features and key structural corridors to guide diamond drilling in the 2026 exploration program.
2. Integration with Historical Data and Targeting
Survey results will be integrated with more than 600 digitized drill holes, 200 channel samples and over 2,000 surface grab samples, enabling a unified geological model across the claim block. Geophysical anomalies have highlighted four high-priority target areas—Sturgeon Bridge, Kowalski Lake, Salomon’s Pillars and Angle & Watson Lake—for focused diamond drilling.
3. Upcoming Drill Program and Funding
The upcoming 2026 drill campaign will test identified lithological and structural corridors to delineate gold mineralization, with drill permit applications submitted to regional authorities. Galactic Gold has also applied for up to C$200,000 in Ontario Junior Exploration Program funding to support the initial phase of diamond drilling.
