Garg group urges Better Home & Finance shareholders to oust five directors, including interim CEO Lewis, in consent vote
BETR•Shareholder consent campaign targets five directors
Better Home & Finance is facing a shareholder push led by founder Vishal Garg to remove five directors, including interim CEO Daniel Lewis.
Garg said he had collected consents from holders of more than 46% of voting power within two weeks of the cards reaching shareholders.
Garg and Better trade accusations over outreach and support
Garg accused the board of blocking outreach by withholding a shareholder list, citing a roughly 55% share-price drop since his exit.
Better disputed the stated support level on X, implying securities-law violations; Garg called the allegations false.
Garg said he would seek to nominate three new independent directors if the effort succeeds, subject to board approval.
