Garmin debuts $999.99 dēzl DualView, $349.99 amplifiers, plus Connect+ nutrition tracking
Garmin launched the dēzl DualView two-camera HD system at $999.99 available Jan. 8 and the JL Audio AP Amplifiers series starting at $349.99 delivering up to 600 W for marine and off-road markets. It also added nutrition tracking with macro breakdowns and AI-powered insights in Garmin Connect+ to expand subscription revenue.
1. Garmin Launches dēzl DualView Camera System for Trucks
Garmin today introduced the dēzl DualView, a rugged HD camera solution designed specifically for over-the-road truck drivers. The system comprises two weather-resistant, IPX7-rated cameras that mount flush to side mirrors or other flat surfaces and transmit real-time video to compatible in-cab displays, including tablets and dēzl OTR or RV navigators. Drivers receive visual alerts when vehicles enter blind spots or merge, and any detected incident is automatically recorded in 1080p HD to a microSD card. Each clip captures location, speed, date and time overlays, and can be shared via the Garmin Drive mobile app with an active Vault plan. Available on January 8, 2026 at a suggested retail price of $999.99, the dēzl DualView aims to enhance safety, reduce liability and provide critical video evidence for professional drivers.
2. Garmin Unveils JL Audio AP Amplifier Series for Marine and Off-Road Use
Building on its position as a leading marine electronics manufacturer, Garmin has rolled out the JL Audio AP Amplifier lineup—four ultracompact Class-D amplifiers engineered for boats, ATVs, UTVs and other power-sports vehicles. Models include a 200-watt, four-channel unit with Bluetooth streaming and AUX input; a 300-watt monoblock for subwoofer applications; a 300-watt four-channel version for full speaker setups; and a 600-watt six-channel option with staggered power output. Three models feature Easy Tune digital optimization and speaker protection, while all carry an IP67 rating for complete water and dust resistance. Housed in cast alloy casings with built-in LCD displays (plus remote control on the Bluetooth model), the amplifiers start at $349.99 and ship January 8, 2026.
3. Garmin Adds Nutrition Tracking to Connect App for Holistic Health Insights
On January 5, 2026, Garmin expanded its Connect+ subscription with a Nutrition feature that lets users log food intake, calories and macronutrients directly within the Garmin Connect app. Leveraging a global food database, barcode scanning and AI-powered image recognition, the tool provides personalized daily targets—calculated from each user’s height, weight, gender and activity level—and generates Active Intelligence insights, such as the impact of late-night eating on sleep quality. Users can view comprehensive reports across daily, weekly, monthly and annual timeframes, customize goals (for example, increasing protein intake) and access nutrition summaries from compatible Garmin smartwatches with voice commands. This addition follows other Connect+ enhancements like 3D maps and a performance dashboard, and is available to new subscribers with a 30-day free trial (or a 14-day extension for prior trial users).
