Garmin Launches Free WhatsApp App for Select fēnix, Forerunner, Venu Smartwatches
Garmin has released a free WhatsApp app on its Connect IQ Store, enabling select fēnix, Forerunner, Venu and vívoactive smartwatches to display and reply to up to 10 chat messages, send emojis and manage calls. The integration leverages end-to-end encryption and Garmin's developer platform to enhance wearable connectivity.

Garmin’s new app lets users view recent conversations at a glance, read and reply via a built-in keyboard, send emojis or reactions, and handle incoming calls with decline options. The display supports up to 10 messages on-screen, keeping communication seamless during activities.

The WhatsApp app is available for select fēnix®, Forerunner®, Venu® and vívoactive® smartwatches when paired with a compatible Apple or Android smartphone. Users can download and install the app for free from the Connect IQ Store.
