Garmin Pilot adds mobile IFR clearance delivery
Garmin partnered with the FAA and MITRE to develop Mobile Clearance Delivery in Garmin Pilot for electronic IFR clearances at select U.S. airports.
The feature is intended to reduce ATC radio or phone workload, lower readback errors and speed departure flow for general and business aviation.
An operational test phase is underway, with a limited rollout now and phased nationwide deployment planned through 2028.
