On Jan. 8, 2026, Garmin will release its dēzl™ DualView dual-camera truck monitoring system priced at $999.99 and a new JL Audio® AP Amplifiers series with models starting at $349.99. Garmin also added AI-driven nutrition tracking to its Connect+ app, integrating calorie and macro logging.

1. Garmin Unveils dēzl DualView Camera System

On January 5, 2026, Garmin announced the dēzl™ DualView, a purpose-built, rugged HD camera setup designed to enhance situational awareness for over-the-road truck drivers. The two-camera system delivers real-time video feeds down each side of the rig, integrates blind-spot monitoring with visual alerts for merging traffic, and automatically records 1080p HD footage of detected incidents to a user-supplied microSD™ card. Garmin Vice President Susan Lyman highlighted that the system not only boosts confidence during lane changes and backing maneuvers but also provides video evidence to safeguard drivers’ reputations in the event of disputes.

2. Key Technical Specifications and User Experience

Each IPX7-rated camera module withstands sunlight, rain, fuels, chemicals and pressure washing, and installs via a sleek, flush-mount design on side mirrors or other flat surfaces. In-cab viewing is available through a paired tablet, the dēzl OTR navigator or compatible RV navigators, with voice-control support in eight languages when connected to a dēzl OTR unit. Recorded clips include overlays for location, speed, date and time, and can be stored continuously on the microSD card or managed and shared via Garmin’s Vault cloud plan and Wi-Fi connection through the Garmin Drive™ mobile app.

3. Commercial Rollout and Investor Implications

The dēzl DualView system becomes available for purchase on Garmin’s website on January 8, 2026, at a suggested retail price of $999.99. This new product leverages Garmin’s reputation in the commercial transport market and expands its portfolio of safety-oriented solutions for professional drivers. Investors will note the potential for aftermarket accessory sales to contribute incremental revenue growth in fiscal 2026, while enhancing Garmin’s competitive positioning against rival telematics and camera-monitor systems providers.
