Strategic partnership and license agreement for UAV communications
GCT Semiconductor entered a strategic partnership and license agreement with a utilities and IoT infrastructure provider to develop next-generation UAV control communications.
Work will combine GCT’s cellular and non-terrestrial network expertise with industrial-grade wireless systems for mission-critical use cases, including defense.
GCT will integrate its GDM7243i connectivity solution and an IoT module into the joint development effort.
The deal also supports GCT’s plan to build a defense vertical to expand its dual-use technology portfolio.
