GE Aerospace joins SNC, BAE Systems, Collins Aerospace to modernize KC-135 cockpit
GE•GE Aerospace joined an SNC-led consortium with BAE Systems and Collins Aerospace to develop a cockpit modernization solution for U.S. Air Force KC-135 tankers. The proposed upgrades include avionics, fuel management systems and autothrottle capabilities, with the program expected to run from 2028 through 2038.

GE Aerospace joined an SNC-led consortium with BAE Systems and Collins Aerospace to develop a modernization solution for U.S. Air Force KC-135 tankers. The proposed Center Console Refresh would upgrade avionics and fuel management systems and add autothrottle capabilities to reduce pilot workload.
2. Program timeline
The program is expected to run from 2028 through 2038.
