GE Aerospace, Palantir Expand AI Partnership for T-38 J85 Engine Readiness and Supply Chains

GEGE

GE Aerospace has expanded its partnership with Palantir to deploy AI across its production system for J85 engine failure prediction and supply-chain optimization. After a 2024 pilot improving T-38 trainer jet readiness, the expansion now covers sustainment, MRO and new engine production with Palantir AIP integrated across fulfillment and sourcing.

1. Multi-Year AI Partnership Expansion

GE Aerospace and Palantir have entered a multi-year agreement to deploy advanced AI solutions across GE’s military aviation production system. The collaboration focuses on agentic AI agents that predict component failures and automate supply-chain workflows to maximize engine availability and combat readiness.

2. 2024 T-38 J85 Pilot Success

In early 2024, the companies piloted a workflow for the U.S. Air Force’s T-38 trainer fleet powered by the J85 engine. That pilot provided real-time visibility into parts demand and shortages, driving measurable improvements in fleet readiness and maintenance efficiency.

3. Integration Across Production and MRO

Building on the pilot, Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform is now integrated across GE Aerospace’s broader production system, including sustainment, maintenance, repair, overhaul and new engine production. The AI-driven architecture orchestrates fulfillment, sourcing, allocation and customer service, freeing staff to focus on high-value problem-solving.
