GE Aerospace won selection from Leonardo to supply CT7-2E1 engines for 23 AW149 helicopters under the UK Ministry of Defence New Medium Helicopter program.
- The package includes spare engines, spare parts, long-term services, and other support tied to the fleet.
- GE plans UK-based build and overhaul work at StandardAero’s Gosport facility, with component manufacturing at Barnes Aerospace in Newton Abbott.
- The CT7-2E1 has more than 300 deliveries and over 500,000 flight hours; the broader T700/CT7 family exceeds 25,000 engines delivered.
