GE Vernova executed upgrades on two gas turbines at InterGen’s UK gas-fired power plant, completing the final phase of a service agreement initiated in mid-2023. The work encompassed hardware retrofits, digital control system updates and onsite performance validation to meet operational targets.

The turbine enhancements are designed to improve operational reliability, reduce unplanned outages and extend major maintenance intervals by multiple years. This will enable the plant to maintain higher availability during peak electricity demand periods.

Under the multi-year service contract, GE Vernova secures recurring aftermarket revenues linked to performance guarantees and long-term maintenance. This reinforces the company’s position in the thermal power services market as operators optimize existing assets as grid dynamics evolve.
