GE Vernova won two Stromnetz Berlin contracts to design, deliver and install 110 kV gas-insulated substations in Wittenau and Neukölln.
The projects use SF6-free g3 technology; the insulating medium has a global-warming potential about 99% lower than SF6.
Execution for Wittenau is slated from June 2026 to March 2031, while Neukölln is slated from June 2026 to January 2032.
The order was booked in April 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
