Gen Launches Multi-Tunnel AI-Native VPN and Upgrades Norton AI Agent Protection
Gen launched VPN for Agents, the first consumer AI-native VPN for autonomous AI agents with no-install design, multi-tunnel connectivity across countries and protected identity controls. Expanded Norton AI Agent Protection for Norton 360 includes pre-use integration blocking, prompt-injection defense and advanced code/file scanning to monitor and secure AI agent actions.
1. Launch of VPN for Agents
Gen introduced VPN for Agents as the first consumer AI-native VPN designed specifically for autonomous AI agents. The service features a no-install, agent-native architecture, multi-tunnel connectivity enabling simultaneous operations across different countries, and encrypted identity and location controls to prevent tracking and profiling.
2. Expansion of Norton AI Agent Protection
Norton AI Agent Protection has been integrated into Norton 360 to provide real-time monitoring and enforcement for AI agents. New defenses include pre-use blocking of malicious plugins and tools, prompt-injection detection, and advanced code and file scanning to identify malware and unsafe scripts before execution.
3. Availability and Platform Support
VPN for Agents is available now to a limited customer base through the Gen Agent Trust Hub, while Norton AI Agent Protection is active for Windows users of Claude Code, Cursor and OpenClaw. Mac support is planned to launch soon, extending real-time AI agent oversight across major consumer platforms.
