WGS•Seattle Children’s study supports broader use of rapid genome sequencing
GeneDx highlighted new peer-reviewed clinical results published in Genetics in Medicine; findings were presented as already published, not upcoming.
Study at Seattle Children’s supports hospital-wide use of rapid genome sequencing as a first-line inpatient test beyond intensive care.
Results showed more diagnoses with earlier answers, driving changes in patient management while improving hospital workflow without major staffing expansion.
Analysis also indicated broader inpatient access reduced outpatient genetics bottlenecks, with access disparities by race eliminated within the program.
