On Feb. 24, General Motors initiated a recall of its electric vehicle lineup after identifying a high-voltage battery component failure that could lead to thermal events. The action marks a setback for GM’s safety credentials and will require dealership inspections and component replacements once repair parts become available.

2. General Fusion Highlights SPAC Strategy

On Feb. 23, General Fusion announced plans to present its commercialization roadmap and capital markets strategy at global fusion industry and investor conferences in February and March. The company recently agreed to merge with Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. III to go public via SPAC, aiming to accelerate development of its pilot fusion energy plant.
