Genesco reported second-quarter net sales of $529.9 million, down about 3% from a year earlier due to store closures, lower licensed sales and weak demand at its UK-based footwear chain Schuh.
The company posted a quarterly loss of 83 cents per share, compared with a loss of $1.14 a year earlier.
It expects annual comparable sales to be flat, versus its prior expectation of 1% to 2% growth.
