Genesco delivered Q4 revenue of $800 million, up 7%, with comparable sales up 9% and adjusted EPS of $3.74 versus $3.26 last year. The company generated $164 million of free cash flow, appointed CEO Mimi Vaughn interim CFO and guided fiscal 2027 for comps +1–2%, flat sales, $32–38 million operating income and $1.90–2.30 EPS.

1. Q4 Financial Results

Genesco delivered fourth-quarter revenue of $800 million, up 7% year-over-year, with comparable sales rising 9% on store and direct channels. Adjusted gross margin declined 90 basis points due to increased promotions and tariffs, while adjusted operating income grew 17% to $56 million, driving EPS of $3.74 and free cash flow of $164 million.

2. Brand and Store Performance

Journeys led the quarter with comps up 12% on strong full-price selling and conversion, supported by over 84 Journeys 4.0 stores comping above 25%. Schuh comps rose 3% through promotional activity in the UK and will undergo a profitability reset, while net closures of 42 stores reduced the fleet by 3%.

3. Leadership and Guidance

CFO Sandra Harris departed at quarter end, with CEO Mimi Vaughn named interim CFO. Fiscal 2027 guidance calls for comparable sales growth of 1–2%, flat to slightly down total sales, adjusted operating income of $32–38 million and EPS of $1.90–2.30.
