1. Broker Sees Genus PLC as FTSE 100 Contender
House broker Panmure Liberum elevated its outlook on Genus PLC, forecasting that the animal genetics specialist could join the FTSE 100 by 2030. In a research note published this week, the broker highlighted that trading conditions in Genus’s PIC pork division have held up considerably better than expected, with underlying volumes in key European and North American markets running 5–7% ahead of seasonal norms through the first quarter. Panmure Liberum raised its 2026 earnings per share estimate by 8% to reflect stronger margins from premium genetics sales and cost-efficiencies in production. The broker now projects group revenue growth of 12% this fiscal year, underpinned by full-year contributions from the recently expanded swine embryo transfer facility in Canada and ongoing product roll-outs in emerging markets such as Brazil and China. Panmure Liberum noted that Genus’s net debt ratio has fallen below 1.5× EBITDA, providing scope for bolt-on acquisitions in specialized aqua-genetics and poultry genetics over the next 18 months.
2. Genius Group Launches Model Future School in Bali
Genius Group Limited unveiled its inaugural ‘Genius School’ at ProEd Global School’s Bali campuses, marking its first fully operational Future School model in the Asia Pacific. The company finalized its 51% acquisition of ProEd on November 10, 2025, and has since integrated its AI-powered curriculum and Genius Apprentice program across primary, middle and secondary education. Genius School’s curriculum is built around the World Economic Forum’s eight Future Skills—ranging from global citizenship and problem-based learning to AI and blockchain literacy—and is backed by Cambridge Accreditation, with plans to pursue International Baccalaureate status. CEO Roger James Hamilton emphasized that the model is designed to be profitable from day one, leveraging weekend Genius Camps and digital learning modules to supplement full-time study. Initial enrolment figures for the Umalas and Nuanu campuses have already exceeded management’s target by 15%, driven by demand from both local families and international expatriates seeking a future-focused education.
