1. Broker Forecasts FTSE 100 Elevation for Genus PLC
Panmure Liberum, the house broker for Genus PLC, has reiterated its bullish view on the animal genetics group, projecting that the company will enter the FTSE 100 index by the end of the decade. In its January update, the broker highlighted that Genus’s PIC pork division delivered trading volumes 12% above analyst forecasts over the past six months, driven by stronger-than-expected consumer demand in Europe and North America. Panmure Liberum noted that Genus’s R&D pipeline, which includes two gene-editing projects for disease resistance in swine and cattle, is on track to contribute an incremental £30 million in annual revenue by 2028. The broker lifted its earnings per share forecast for 2026 to 85p, up 7% from its previous estimate, citing sustained margin expansion as production costs normalize in core markets.
2. Genius Group Launches Model Future School with ProEd Partnership
Genius Group Limited has officially launched its ‘Genius School’ model at ProEd Global School’s two campuses in Bali following its November 2025 acquisition of a 51% stake via Nuanu Creative City. The new curriculum integrates AI-powered learning tools and Bitcoin-first financial modules across primary, middle and secondary levels, targeting enrollment growth from 350 students at launch to 1,200 within 18 months. CEO Roger James Hamilton emphasized that the school’s framework is built around eight Future Skills outlined in the World Economic Forum White Paper, including digital responsibility and project-based collaboration. The company projects that the Bali pilot will break even by Q4 2026, supported by an annual tuition base of US$10 million and plans to replicate the model in three additional Asia-Pacific locations by 2028.
