GMAB•Genmab said its petosemtamab and pembrolizumab combination cut the risk of death by 50% in a Phase 3 trial for first-line PD-L1-positive recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer. It met both primary endpoints, improving overall survival and tumor response versus pembrolizumab alone.

The combination significantly improved overall survival and tumor response versus pembrolizumab alone at the first interim analysis, meeting both primary endpoints. Benefits were observed regardless of HPV status, and no new safety signals emerged. Genmab plans global regulatory discussions and expects to submit full results for presentation at a future medical meeting.
