Genprex highlights preclinical study linking TUSC2 loss to brain aging in mice
GNPX•Genprex highlighted preclinical research linking loss of TUSC2 to disrupted cellular function in mice and lower TUSC2 expression with age and in Alzheimer’s disease. The study did not test REQORSA as a treatment for aging or neurodegenerative disease.
1. Findings in mice and humans
The research linked TUSC2 loss to disrupted cellular function in mice, with males showing greater impairment than females. Human datasets showed TUSC2 expression declining with age and further reductions in Alzheimer’s disease. The study did not test Genprex’s investigational cancer therapy REQORSA as a treatment for aging or neurodegenerative disease.
