Gentex posted Q2 GAAP net income attributable to shareholders of USD 114.7 million, up 19%, with diluted EPS of USD 0.54.
Net sales slipped 1% to USD 651.3 million, as automotive sales fell to USD 560.1 million from weaker light-vehicle production and lower mirror shipments.
Gross margin widened to 37.0% from 34.2%, helped by about USD 18 million of IEEPA tariff reimbursements booked in cost of goods sold.
GAAP operating income climbed 19% to USD 141.3 million; other loss widened to USD 4.5 million on credit loss reserves and investment impairments.
