In 2025, the program executed 104 distribution projects and 25 transmission initiatives—five line upgrades and 20 substation enhancements—surpassing original targets. Local efforts in Atlanta, Stone Mountain and Savannah introduced stronger poles, sectionalizing equipment, outage isolation technology and underground lines to bolster resilience.

3. Reliability Impact and Metrics

These upgrades have improved reliability for over 504,000 customers, with project areas seeing up to a 50% reduction in outage frequency and duration. Smart-grid capabilities accelerated restoration—175,000 customers restored within 24 hours after Winter Storm Fern and over one million within five days after Hurricane Helene.
