Georgia Power Names Anthony Oni VP Corporate Affairs After Leading $100M Grid Modernization Fund
SO•Georgia Power has appointed Anthony Oni as vice president of Corporate Affairs, overseeing communications, media relations, branding, digital and employee engagement. Oni previously led the $100 million Elevate Future Fund at Energy Impact Partners and held senior communications roles at Southern Company Gas and Alabama Power.

Anthony Oni has joined Georgia Power as vice president of Corporate Affairs, where he will lead all communications functions including media relations, social and digital media, branding, advertising and employee communications across the state’s largest electric utility.
2. Leadership at Energy Impact Partners
Prior to this role, Oni served as Managing Partner at Energy Impact Partners, spearheading the Elevate Future Fund, a more than $100 million investment strategy focused on grid modernization, utility transformation and critical energy infrastructure development.
3. Extensive Southern Company Experience
Oni brings nearly 20 years with Southern Company affiliates, having led corporate communications, brand strategy and stakeholder engagement at Southern Company Gas and directed digital strategy initiatives at Alabama Power to enhance customer experience.
4. Focus on Innovation and Community Engagement
Known for founding Cloverly and Ed Farm and contributing to the Propel Center for HBCU innovation, Oni’s track record in community-focused projects and workforce development is expected to bolster Georgia Power’s reputation and stakeholder relationships.
