BERLIN, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Germany will push for a European windfall tax on energy firms at an informal meeting of European Union finance ministers on Friday, the finance ministry said on Monday, as the government voiced growing concern over rising gasoline prices.
"We are monitoring developments with great and growing concern," a government spokesperson said, adding recent price increases were placing a heavy burden on companies and the public.
