Germany's Adidas raises full-year profit outlook after record quarter
Adidas raised its full-year operating profit outlook by about €100 million after third-quarter operating profit rose 37% to a record €1.008 billion. It forecast 2026 operating profit of €2.5 billion, up from €2.3 billion, after a €200 million U.S. tariff refund and plans to reinvest about €100 million in the fourth quarter.
1. Record quarterly profit
Adidas reported third-quarter operating profit of €1.008 billion, up from €736 million a year earlier. The company said full-year operating profit would be around €100 million higher than previously expected, citing a U.S. tariff refund and full-price sales.
2. 2026 forecast raised
Adidas said the tariff refund totalled around €200 million following a U.S. court ruling. It plans to reinvest around €100 million in the fourth quarter, and now forecasts 2026 operating profit of €2.5 billion, compared with its previous forecast of €2.3 billion. The company issued the update ahead of its full earnings report scheduled for October 29.
