Ginkgo Bioworks joins ARPA-H consortium for RNA manufacturing system
Ginkgo Bioworks joined Waterfall Scientific’s ESCALATOR consortium under ARPA-H’s GIVE program to develop benchtop manufacturing for individualized RNA medicines.
Subcontract award totals up to USD 17.5 million to build automation hardware and control software for a continuous-flow, autonomous RNA production system.
Scope includes integrating four manufacturing modules with in-line quality control, targeting automated quality release at single-patient scale.
Consortium includes Ansa Biotechnologies, Polymorphic Biosciences, Tensentric, Volta Labs; project begins with a technical kickoff later this month.
