Glenveagh says Ireland Budget 2027 boosts Help to Buy grant to €35,000
GLV•Glenveagh said Ireland’s Budget 2027 raises the Help to Buy grant to €35,000 while retaining existing price caps.
1. Grant increase
Glenveagh CEO Stephen Garvey welcomed Budget 2027, citing policy continuity as key for homebuilders, investors and communities. The Help to Buy grant rises to €35,000, with existing price caps retained.
2. Housing delivery
The government reaffirmed its commitment to the Delivering Homes, Building Communities 2025-2030 plan, with a focus on faster implementation nationally. Infrastructure funding through the National Development Plan supports water, roads and utilities, which the company cited as constraints on output. Company-backed analysis expects Ireland to complete 7.2 new homes per 1,000 people this year, above the EU average of 3.
