Global Engine Group signs strategic collaboration with Angkasa-X on Sarawak Space-to-AI edge platform

Global Engine Group Holding signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Angkasa-X to develop a Space-to-AI edge infrastructure platform in Sarawak, Malaysia.

The project targets a proof of concept linking satellite ground stations to a Sarawak edge data center for local storage and AI processing.

Angkasa-X will build, operate, and maintain the ground station and edge data center, while GLE will provide data center design and operations consulting.

The parties will set feasibility work and proof-of-concept success criteria within 180 days, with PoC completion targeted for October 2027.

The deal expands GLE beyond traditional ICT infrastructure into AI, edge computing, and space-based data services.
