Six-month results and investment income
For the six months, net income climbed to $15.3 million from $6.4 million, or $1.05 per share; current accident year combined ratio was 94.8%.
Net investment income edged down to $28.6 million from $29.5 million due to increased allocation to U.S. Treasuries.
Quarterly net income and underwriting results improve
Global Indemnity posted Q2 net income of $11.1 million, up 8%, or $0.76 per share.
Current accident year underwriting income rose 3% to $5.8 million; loss ratio improved 1.8 percentage points to 53.8%.
