SPY•Dollar rises and gold falls
In currency markets, the dollar rose against major peers including the euro, yen and Swiss franc. It rose 0.53% to 154.40 against the yen JPY=EBS and was up 0.1% at 0.817 against the Swiss franc CHF=EBS.
The euro was 0.43% lower against the dollar at $1.15475 EUR=EBS.

Oil prices jump after attacks
Brent futures LCOc1 settled up 1% at $105.68 a barrel, having gained almost 9% last week. Prices for diesel, gasoline and jet fuel are all far higher than they were before the Iran war, meaning a direct hit for consumers.
Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline was temporarily shut following a drone attack, according to Saudi officials. The shutdown of the pipeline, which helps Saudi Arabia avoid the Strait of Hormuz by re-routing oil to the Red Sea, threatens up to 4% of global oil supply.
