Global tablet shipments fell 23% year over year to 32,191,000 units in Q3 2026, the lowest level in nearly three years. Tightening supply constraints are pushing tablets down vendors’ strategic priorities, and meaningful market recovery is unlikely before 2028.
2. Vendor results
Apple retained the lead despite a 27.5% shipment decline, with its market share slipping to 36%. Lenovo was the only top-five vendor to grow shipments, rising 11.9% as its share increased to 12.7%; Huawei recorded the steepest decline among leading vendors at 43%.
