GoDaddy research ranked Alberta as Canada’s most entrepreneurial province, based on active microbusiness growth from Q1 to Q4 2025.
- Alberta posted 17% growth, ahead of Nova Scotia at 16% and Ontario at 16%.
- All provinces recorded gains; six provinces logged growth of at least 15%.
- Microbusinesses remained small: 92% had fewer than 10 employees, and more than 25% were solo-run.
- Only 28% reported the venture as primary income, while 38% used it to supplement earnings.
