Among Canadian miners, Agnico Eagle MinesAEM.N climbed 1.7% and Kinross GoldKGC.N rose 1.55%.
Gold miners gain premarket as bullion rises
U.S.-listed shares of gold miners rose premarket, tracking a gain in bullion prices.
Spot gold XAU= was up 0.9% at $4,425.83/ounce.
The price was buoyed by a drop in the U.S. dollar and Treasury yields from highs, as investors awaited key payrolls data that could tip the scales on expectations for a Federal Reserve rate hike this month.
